Journaling for self-healing - why is journaling a powerful wellbeing tool?
The key reason why journaling is such a powerful wellbeing tool, it’s because practising journaling regularly allow us to connect with our heart.
We spend a lot of time in our head and practicing journaling is a great way to get from our head into our heart.
Maybe you’ve heard something like this, “The longest journey is the 18 inches from your head to your heart.” I believe that home is where our heart is. In my experience, I found that practising journaling shortens this journey and gets you to your “home” faster.
Don’t get me wrong the journey is as important as the destination but the true magic happens when you are connected with your heart. When you can start hearing the voice of your heart. When you attune yourself to hear the whispers of your heart.
If you are feeling overwhelmed and lacking clarity, creating some time to connect with your heart is a powerful way to reach to the clarity as often your heart holds the answers.
Through the process of journaling we can connect with ourselves, to find out what's happening right now.
Often the voice of the inner critic is stronger than our inner intuitive voice so we need to quieten all the voices outside and inside in order to hear the voice of the heart.
You can incorporate journaling into your morning routine to set the intentions of the day or in your evening routine to help wind down from your day.
Journaling is a great way to connect to your heart's desires, which we need to replenish our energy.
